Building on years of continuous improvement in fluxgate-based current sensor technology, Beijing Passion Technology (PAS) launched the FIx Series in March — a high-precision closed-loop zero-flux current sensor based on the fluxgate principle.

Thanks to the ultra-high sensitivity and unique structure of the fluxgate principle, the FIx Series offers temperature stability and low-current sensitivity that Hall-effect sensors cannot match. Unlike traditional Hall-effect sensors, the FIx Series adopts a new structure that completely eliminates position error while significantly improving immunity to external interference, making it suitable for harsh environments.

Because it is based on the fluxgate principle, the FIx Series features extremely low temperature drift and zero drift. As a result, it achieves accuracy as high as 0.1% — approximately an order of magnitude higher than conventional Hall-effect current sensors. It is important to emphasize that this 0.1% accuracy rating represents the maximum error across the full measuring range and the entire operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

The FIx Series high-precision current sensors excel in a wide range of applications, including high-precision power supplies, current feedback in solar and wind inverters, energy storage system current monitoring, and inverter current control. Taking wind power inverters as an example: the FIx Series' exceptional temperature characteristics and ultra-low zero drift not only ensure accurate current measurement but also significantly reduce harmful DC components in the inverter's output current. This helps protect grid transformers while converting more than 0.5% of harmful DC components into usable power — reducing risk and increasing revenue for users.
